A Summer Salt Circle at PAUS
Hosted by Jess Trent, Reflexologist| £44pp |
| Thursday 13th August |
| 5:30pm - 8:30pm | Salt Circle ~ PAUS, Cambridge
When did you last sleep really well?
This evening was designed with that question in mind.
We gather at Paus: thirteen acres of Cambridgeshire countryside for a summer evening that moves gently from outside to in.
Fresh air. Good food. Then an hour with guided breath, meditation and relaxation.
We start on PAUS’ barefoot sensory trail ~ a kilometre of natural textures underfoot, open meadow, and the long unhurried light of a summer evening.
We’ll walk to the hilltop bistro for pizza night ~ sharing pizzas included in ticket. Time to eat, settle, talk or simply sit.
As dusk draws in, we move inside for the Salt Circle itself: Warm salt water, guided breath, a folk story read aloud, gentle meditation, and the particular quiet that forms when women are given genuine permission to slow down.
Most women sleep more deeply that night than they have in months.
5:15pm ~ Gather at the PAUS car park; entrance to the grounds.
5:30pm ~ Barefoot sensory walk ~ PAUS has the UK’s longest barefoot path, 1km.
6:30pm ~ Shared Pizza dinner at the hilltop bistro
7:30pm ~ Salt Circle ~ designed for long sleeps ~ PAUS yoga studio
8:30pm ~ Close

“The reflexology, the folklore stories, the evening salt circles - all of it was intentional, thoughtful and infused with her signature warmth. Such magic.”
What is a Salt Circle?
A quiet hour of warmth, salt, and story.
Fortnightly gatherings.
This is a space to soften.
To come back into your body without effort.
Your feet rest in warm salt water.
The light is low.
A folk story is read aloud ~ rooted in place, steadying, slow.
You’re not asked to share.
There is nothing to perform.
Nothing to fix.
You can simply arrive, sit, and listen.
I’ve spent fifteen years working as a reflexologist, and over that time I’ve come to trust that the body holds so much ~ stress, grief, joy, and a deep longing for rest. The Salt & Moon Circle grew out of the evening rituals I hold at my coastal retreats ~ salt water, candlelight, and the quiet that forms when women are given genuine permission to slow down. I wanted to bring that feeling home. To make it regular. Accessible. Something to return to each month ~ a quiet anchor in the rhythm of the year.
