Quiet Adventure - an example day

Summer day retreats to connect with Earth on a barefoot adventure.
Intimate groups of up to 10 people.
10am - 6pm

Gentle Schedule:

10am - midday:
Gather in a plant-filled studio. Free parking onsite.

We will begin the day with group breath work meditation, relaxing the body and allowing you to settle into the space.
Guided barefoot walk with Jess (experienced barefoot guide) to connect and ground our body's energy with the Earth.
This is a 1-hour light, multi-terrain barefoot walk with sensory paths to ‘wake up’ the feet. Immerse yourselves in nature. Ask questions, and learn lots of interesting fun facts about the brilliance of our feet!
With her gentle, and light-hearted approach, Jess offers teachings of foot anatomy, reflex points, grounding, earthing and open Q&A.

Midday - 1pm
Time to Nourish;

Seasonal 2 course lunch & drinks, in a reserved area of the hilltop cafe.
Dietary requirements fully catered for.

1pm - 4pm
Time to Relax;
Relax in open-air swimming pond. Unwind and recharge in their authentic Finnish barrel saunas.
You will also be able to take individual time with Jess to synthesise reflexology self-practice teachings.

3 hours in private outdoor Bathing Tubs, use of Sauna, Cool Pool and individual showers (Neals Yard shower & hair products provided)
Complimentary drinks while bathing.


4pm - 5pm
Guided self-reflexology practice, with grape-seed/coconut oils, crystals, towels, and aromatherapy oils provided.
A gentle group session to close the day with plenty of time for individual guided self-practice and questions welcome regarding specific ailments to treat.
We close the day with a Koshi-bell sound bath and full-body relaxation.

5pm - 6pm
It's always interesting to see what health reflections or contemplations come up after a day of rest, so we invite participants to stay on at Paus to enjoy the meadows, the hilltop cafe or hammocks before heading home relaxed and refreshed.

An utterly gorgeous setting. Aptly named, PAUS is nestled on a beautiful meadowland hilltop, just 20 minutes outside Cambridge.

I chose this as my 2021 retreat setting for so many reasons, but first and foremost their dedication; encouraging us to immerse ourselves in nature.

From the moment you step foot onto the land at PAUS you will breathe deeper, move slower, think clearer and above all connect and ground your body into its authentic energy expression.

With a unique 1km barefoot walking path, this venue is the perfect place to explore the beneficial effects of reflexology as you embark on your own Quiet Adventure.
